Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request refunds for purchases made within Socrion ("Service") provided by Dmitrii Kuznetsov, Independent Developer.

This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with it.


1. Promotional Credit

When you create an account, you may receive an initial promotional credit balance. Promotional credit may also be granted on a first purchase or as part of other promotional campaigns.

Promotional credit is a bonus granted by us and is not refundable in cash under any circumstances, including in the case of a refund of paid credits where promotional credit is excluded from the refundable amount.


2. Refunds by Payment Channel

The refund process depends on the payment channel used to purchase credits. Each payment provider has its own refund policy, and in some cases refunds must be requested directly from the payment provider rather than from us.

2.1. Purchases via Apple In-App Purchase (iOS)

If you purchased credits through our iOS application, refunds are processed by Apple Inc. in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not have the technical ability to issue refunds for Apple IAP purchases directly.

To request a refund from Apple:

  • visit https://support.apple.com/HT204084;
  • or use the "Report a Problem" feature for the purchase in your Apple ID account.

Apple typically processes refund requests within several business days. Apple's decisions on refund requests are final and binding on us.

2.2. Purchases via Google Play Billing (Android)

If you purchased credits through our Android application, refunds are handled by Google LLC under Google Play's refund policy.

Within 48 hours of purchase you can request a refund automatically through Google Play.

After 48 hours, refund decisions are at Google's discretion, but you may also contact us at legal@socrion.io. We will review your request in good faith on a case-by-case basis and, where appropriate, may issue a refund through Google Play Developer-managed refund tools.

2.3. Purchases via Telegram Stars (Telegram Mini App)

If you purchased credits using Telegram Stars within the Telegram Mini App version of the Service, refunds are governed by Telegram's payment policy:

  • Unconsumed Stars (Stars purchased but not yet spent within the Service): you may request a refund directly from Telegram within the timeframe defined by Telegram's refund policy (typically up to 21 days from purchase) — see Telegram Payments and the official Telegram Bot Payments documentation.
  • Stars already converted into credits within the Service: refund decisions are at our discretion. To request such a refund, contact us at legal@socrion.io with the Telegram payment identifier. Where appropriate, we may initiate a refund via the Telegram Bot API (refundStarPayment).

Telegram's decisions on refund requests directed to Telegram are final and binding on us.

2.4. Purchases via Lava.top (web international payments)

If you purchased credits through the web version of the Service using Lava.top as the payment provider, refunds are handled in accordance with Lava.top's terms and our refund procedure described in Section 8 below.

To request a refund of unused paid credits purchased via Lava.top:

  • contact us at legal@socrion.io with the Lava.top payment identifier and the email used at the time of purchase;
  • we will verify the request and, if approved, initiate the refund via the Lava.top platform;
  • the refund will typically be processed within 10 calendar days from verification and credited to the original payment method;
  • final receipt of funds depends on the policies of your card issuer or payment provider.

3. Automatic Refund for Service Failures

If a paid service (e.g., a reading) is not delivered to you due to a technical failure on our side (no AI interpretation generated, service interrupted by reasons outside your control), the credit deducted for that service is automatically returned to your balance within seconds of the failure being detected.

No action is required from you. The automatic refund is reflected in your account's transaction history.


4. Consumed Credits

Credits that have been spent on a successfully delivered service (the AI interpretation was generated and shown to you) are not refundable.

The service is considered delivered at the moment the interpretation is displayed to you in the Service.

Dissatisfaction with the content of the AI-generated interpretation is not, by itself, grounds for a refund.


5. Account Deletion and Credit Balance

When you delete your account:

  • any unused credit balance is forfeited and not refunded in cash, except as provided below;
  • if you wish to request a refund for unused paid credits (i.e., credits you purchased rather than received as promotional credit), please contact us at legal@socrion.io before initiating account deletion.

After your account is deleted, the credit balance cannot be restored or refunded, since the identifying data required to process a refund will have been removed from our systems.


6. Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK Consumers)

Under EU and UK consumer protection law, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.

This right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately upon your express consent, in accordance with Article 16(m) of EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (and equivalent provisions in UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

By making a purchase and immediately receiving and consuming credits to obtain a reading, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is forfeited for already-consumed credits.

For unused credit balances, you may request a refund through the procedures described in Section 2 above (subject to the policies of the respective payment provider).


7. Cases Where Refunds Are Not Granted

We do not issue refunds in the following cases:

  • request for refund of consumed credits (services delivered);
  • request for refund of promotional credit (granted as a bonus);
  • account suspended or terminated due to breach of Terms of Service;
  • request received after the account has been deleted;
  • failure to provide information required to verify the refund request within 30 days of our request;
  • circumvention of refund policy through chargebacks or fraudulent claims;
  • refund requests directed to the wrong party — Apple IAP refunds must go through Apple, Google Play refunds primarily through Google, Telegram Stars refunds for unconsumed Stars through Telegram, in each case as set out in Section 2.

8. How to Request a Refund from Us

For refund requests that we can process directly (i.e., not Apple IAP, not unconsumed Telegram Stars), send an email to:

Please include:

  • the email address or other identifier of your account;
  • the payment provider used (Google Play, Lava.top, Telegram Stars converted into credits, etc.);
  • the purchase identifier (visible in your payment provider account or order confirmation);
  • the amount and reason for the refund request;
  • (optional) any supporting information.

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and provide a final response within 30 days. Where the refund concerns a payment provider whose policy sets a different timeline, that provider's policy may also apply.


9. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to:

  • suspend your account pending resolution;
  • contest the chargeback with the payment provider, providing transaction records and these Terms as evidence;
  • terminate your account if the chargeback is upheld and we believe it was made in bad faith.

Please contact us first at legal@socrion.io — most disputes can be resolved amicably.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects when the policy was last updated.

For material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
